Dr Kelly Flaherty (Advanced Paediatric Osteopath)

Kelly is a fully qualified and experienced osteopath who graduated from Victoria University in Melbourne in 2005. After graduating Kelly spent five years working in New Zealand as an Osteopath. Since returning to Melbourne Kelly has completed her Graduate Certificate in Neonatal and Infant Paediatric Manual Therapy in 2012 to extend her knowledge in this field. Kelly also works as a Clinician overseeing students treat in the student clinic at RMIT University.
Kelly enjoys working with people of all ages from babies to the elderly and uses a diverse range of techniques in her osteopathic treatments. She enjoys consulting on a wide variety of conditions including headaches, lower back pain, sporting injuries, pregnancy related symptoms and conditions related to infants and children. Kelly has also run a Pilates business in Christchurch New Zealand for 2 years focusing on Pilates for people with back pain and post pregnancy. Kelly is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is a member of Osteopathy Australia.
Scott is a fully qualified and experienced osteopath who graduated from RMIT University in 1997, and has been in private practice since at various locations, predominately regional Victoria. Scott has lectured and worked supervising students at Victoria University 1998-2006 and is currently working as a clinician supervising students at RMIT University.
Scott enjoys consulting on a wide variety of conditions of infants through to the more senior generation. With eight children at home, Scott has a very keen interest in children and pregnancy issues, and having worked with many sports clubs over the years he has developed a strong interest in sports injuries. Scott has an eagerness to not only help the patient with their presenting complaint but to further their understanding of how the problem has arisen and how they can stop it from coming back. Scott is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is member of the Osteopathy Australia.
Rebecca is a fully qualified and experienced osteopath who graduated from RMIT University in 2014. Rebecca enjoys consulting on a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including lower back pain, headaches, shoulder conditions, jaw pain and pregnancy-related pain. Whilst Rebecca enjoys working with patients of all ages, she has a keen interest in working with infants and toddlers in order to support them throughout their formative years and into adolescence. In order to further her knowledge in this area, Rebecca has attended several paediatric courses over the past few years and participates in regular ongoing learning.
Rebecca believes strongly in patient-centred care and strives to improve the wellbeing of each patient with a personalised treatment plan for long term management, using hands on manual therapy and providing advice on factors such as stretching and rehabilitation, correct ergonomics, and stress management. Rebecca is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is a member of Osteopathy Australia.
Lydia is a fully qualified osteopath having completed her 5-year osteopathic degree at RMIT University in 2015. Lydia is highly experienced in the treatment and management of sporting injuries. Training and performing as a ballet dancer at a young age and working as a head trainer of a local football club, has provided her with great insight and a keen interest in treating presentations commonly associated with dance and sporting injuries. Lydia also has a strong interest in pregnancy and post-natal care.
Lydia is passionate about healthcare and utilises a broad range of osteopathic techniques to help promote and maintain patient wellbeing. She enjoys working with people to achieve their personal health goals, and believes a patient centred approach to treatment is key ot success. Lydia has obtained certificates in Level 1 Dry Needling and Cupping, and sports taping. Lydia is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is a member of Osteopathy Australia.
Sarah is a fully qualified and experienced osteopath who graduated from RMIT University in 2017. Sarah has grown up playing team sports and due to this has a special interest in treating sporting injuries of various age groups and fitness levels. Sarah completed an internship at Mumbai’s Sport Medicine Clinic working with pre- and post- operative orthopaedic patients further fuelled her passion is this area.
Sarah tailors her treatment to the individual, believing in a multi-disciplinary approach and encouraging a team effort to help enable her patients to reach their functional goals. Sarah enjoys treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions including back pain, muscle strains and pregnancy-related issues. Sarah has obtained a certificate in Level 2 Dry Needling and Cupping and utilizes this alongside various manual therapy techniques. Sarah is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency and is a member of Osteopathy Australia.
Nicola is our helpful and welcoming Practice Manager at Bodywell Healthcare. After a career as a chef, Nicola was drawn to the family friendly and health oriented nature of working in an osteopathic clinic.
Bridget is one of our friendly receptionists at Bodywell Healthcare, who is currently studying Osteopathy at RMIT University. She has always had a huge interest in sport and living an active lifestyle as well as helping others. Along side her studies, as a receptionist at Bodywell Healthcare Bridget hopes to further develop her understanding of osteopathic practice and gain greater insight of a clinic environment.
